Delete Your Byulnuri Account
This page explains how to request deletion of your Byulnuri account, and what data is removed or retained as a result.
Account deletion is currently handled manually; there is no automated one-tap delete-account control in the Byulnuri app or website yet. Deleting your sign-in credentials through the account portal does not by itself delete your Byulnuri account or its data. Use the request process below.
How to request account deletion
Email support@byulnuri.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. Sending the request from your account’s email address allows us to verify ownership before processing.
You can also reach the same contact path from inside the Byulnuri app:
- Open the Byulnuri app
- Go to Settings
- Tap Contact us and send your request
We will process your request within 14 days of receipt.
What data is deleted
When your deletion request is processed, the following data is removed from our servers:
- Account information: email, username, display name, bio, and profile picture
- Community membership: your galaxy memberships, read state, and mention records
- Social connections: your follows, followers, starlinks, activity records, and notification inbox
- Blocked device records: entries you created as a host to block other players (device, IP, or Minecraft identity)
- Push notification tokens: push registrations tied to your account
- Stardust balance: your current balance, along with any LAN servers and cloud servers you own (including their per-server player records)
- Staff role assignments on your account
- Authentication tokens and session data: sign-in tokens issued to your account
What data is retained
The following data may persist after deletion, no longer linked to your account, or (for moderation and safety records) retained as needed to keep the service safe:
- Chat messages and direct messages you posted: these remain as part of the channel or thread history, but are no longer linked to your account. If you want specific messages removed, delete them before requesting account deletion, or ask us.
- Stardust transaction history: kept as a financial audit trail, with the account link removed
- Punishment records (warnings and account-level actions, IP bans, and Minecraft-identity bans): retained as lasting moderation history. Neither voiding a punishment nor deleting your account deletes them, and identifier-based bans may remain enforceable. Associated evidence is kept with the record.
- Connection-tracking records: account deletion does not necessarily delete these immediately. Raw IP addresses normally expire after about 90 days unless kept for active moderation; non-IP identity signals may be kept longer to investigate abuse and prevent ban evasion.
- Moderation history where you acted as staff: for example, punishments you issued, kept with your identifying link removed
- Analytics and crash records: may remain after account identifiers are removed where applicable. These may still contain pseudonymous device or browser details or incidental application state, and are not considered anonymous unless irreversibly de-identified.
- Locally stored data: the random device identifier and appearance preferences on your installed app or browser remain until you uninstall the app, clear app data, or clear browser storage.
Our analytics does not store raw IP addresses; this does not by itself apply to crash reports. For full details on our data handling, including safety and connection-tracking data and its retention, see the Privacy Policy.
